Dr Stuart Sherman is currently Professor of Medicine and Professor of Radiology at the Indiana University Medical Center, Indianapolis.
Dr Sherman attended the State University of New York at Binghamton, NY, where he completed a BA in Economics. He attended the Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, Missouri, where he gained his MD. Dr Sherman followed this with an internship in internal medicine at the University Health Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In 1990 Dr Sherman was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine and the director of Therapeutic Pancreaticobiliary Endoscopy.
He is currently the director of the ERCP Service at the Indiana University Medical Center.
Dr Sherman is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. He is also a member of a number of other professional organizations, including the Indiana State Medical Association, the American College of Physicians and the American Gastroenterological Association.
Dr Sherman is on the Editorial Review Board for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is also a member of the Editorial Board for Techniques in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. In addition, he is an Associate Editor for Journal Watch Gastroenterology.
