Dr Jonathan Evans was raised in Belgium. He received his undergraduate degree at Cornell University (Ithaca, New York) and his medical degree at Universite Libre de Bruxelles (Brussels, Belgium).

Dr Evans completed his pediatric training at the Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron (Akron, Ohio). He completed his training in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at the Medical College of Virginia (Richmond, Virginia).

Since 1987, Dr Evans has been a member of the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition at the Nemours Children's Clinic (Jacksonville, Florida).
